[Video]: The Alternative Rugby Commentary (All Blacks Vs The British Isles)

1993 Video: cameron June 26, 1993

Sparky Plug & Friendly Brains are in the commentary box for this 1993 match against the British Isles!

"The Alternative Rugby Commentary" was broadcast on 89FM while the game was airing on TV (a TV set was rolled in to the Radio Active studio for live coverage!), not only could viewers at home mute their sets for the alternative coverage on the radio, but attendees at Wellington matches could tune their walkmans in to 89FM for minute-to-minute updates!

Athletic Park was demolished in 1999 following the opening of its replacement, the Wellington Regional Stadium (The Caketin)
Wood from Athletic Park's precarious stands was saved and later repurposed as RadioActive.FM's current studio desk!
